Tomorrows Voices Eat Shop Give

April is Autism Month and local charity Tomorrow’s Voices are once again offering Eat! Shop! Give! their annual charitable shopping and dining event. When you make a donation of $10 to Tomorrow’s Voices you will receive an Eat Shop Give Card giving you access to offers at participating Merchants. Donations collected will go towards Tomorrow’s Voices’ mission of providing intensive therapeutic services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This runs for the whole month of April and more details can be found at www.tomorrowsvoices.bm. There is a downloadable Merchant Booklet at this link and the discounts include 20% discount at Secrets, 20% off at Pirate’s Port, 20% discount at Bliss Hair & Nail Salon, 15% discount at Gibbons, 15% discount at The Bermuda Golf Academy,  and many more. I always like shopping for a good cause..

Happy Wednesday, Ladies and Gents!

 

It feels like it has been far too long since we last had a holiday weekend.  I hope you all make the most of it, doing whatever matters to you most  with whoever matters to you most.  I for one can’t wait to be reunited with chocolate – Lent has seemed extra-long this year.  Whatever you end up doing, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break.  Here is the latest rundown of upcoming Bermuda events:

Musica Latina

Looking for a pre-Easter salsa fix? Una Noche de Musica Latina, a night of Latin music, awaits you at at Shine’s House of Music on Thursday, March 28th from 8pm until midnight. BEPRO Quiz

Feel like not enough people know how much of a genius you are? BEPRO (Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals) are hosting their Quiz Night, Let’s Get Quizzical tomorrow, Thursday, March 21st at the Robin Hood Pub & Restaurant.   Hosted by Nadanja Bailey, this quiz will start at 7.45pm, featuring prizes and drinks specials.  The cost is $10 per person for teams of four, although individuals are welcome as they can be grouped at the event. To RSVP, contact  vwheatley@bcc.com.  You can also turn up on the night but they ask that you sign up before 7.30pm if you haven’t pre-registered.

Stationery Store Kite Lessons

Two weeks today is Good Friday, which in Bermuda means that the sky will be decorated with colourful kites!  Yes, you could buy one but it’s much more fun to make your own.  Chris Maxwell will be offering Free Kite Making Lessons  at the Stationery Store on the corner of Reid and Burnaby tomorrow and on Saturday, March 23rd between 10am and 4pm.  All the materials to make the kite, including sticks, string, glue and tissue paper are available for sale in store.  For more information, call 295-6311.
